PUP suggestions for a Warwick fretless

    Hi folks.

I have a mid 90's 4 string Warwick Streamer Bolt-On with an EMG (not sure which models) P/J setup, and I think the MEC preamp. I love the feel of the neck and body, but I've never been happy with the tone. I find it to be artificial sounding and lacking in mids. What I'm looking for is a fuller more 'organic' tone (if that makes any sense). Also, I'd like to keep a humbucker in the Jazz/bridge position.

My only experience in replacing pups was when I swapped out the stock ones in a late 80's MIJ Jazz for Bartolini 9S models, and was very happy with the result. My other bass, a Lakland 55-02 has Bart pups and I'm very happy with it, but I'm not married to Barts.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.
