pup wiring

    im building a bass and i dont really know how to do the wiring. What i want is one knob to blend between the two pups and another for volume. how can i do this?

    you can purchase blend/volume knobs from above,you have to know what type pickups you are gonna use: passive/active cause there are different ohms/resistance the typical 3 are: 25K 250K and 500K. the blend pot. i purchased came with instructions on how to wire it.

    The schematic shown has a glaring error.

    Rather than me pointing it out, lets see who can spot it first.

  5. the tone control won't work as the right leg isn't connected to ground.
    also it's a bit unclear as to which way round the jack socket contacts are wired- tip or ring- obviously the signal should go to the tip, ground to the ring/barrel of the plug.

    on another note using that system in the middle blend position you won't be getting full output from each pickup- anyone compared the tonal difference between this and two individual volume controls?
