Putting a Moses Neck on My P - What Should I Expect?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Woofenstein, Feb 7, 2005.

  1. Hi - I'm thinking of putting a Moses composite neck on my P bass to eliminate weather-induced truss-rod adjustments and dead spots. Has anyone put one of these necks on a P bass? If so, what were your impressions of the tone before and after? I know that composite necks have a different sound then wood - just trying to see how different... I've played Moduli before, so I have that as a starting reference. Thanks!

You can expect Moses's service to be hit or miss.

As it is, I think Moses makes the best graphite necks out there. Very warm sounding, and they feel great. I have two, and dig the heck out of them.

Also remember that Moses neck installation is not for the faint of heart. It also requires a drill press.
