Been a busy week, so I haven't gotten a chance to finish up the FAQ. Once I post it, I'd really like feedback (in the form of suggestions...if you hate it, don't use it :p ) before I ask John to sticky and close it.

In the meantime (great album, btw) I'm looking for suggestions on tutorials and how-to's to include. I've got these:

    Nateo's defret tutorial
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195481&highlight=tutorial

    Wilser's scarf joint
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186192&highlight=scarf

    Fat Karl's thread on finishes
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191161&highlight=tutorial

    Josh Curry: wooden knobs
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155975&highlight=tutorial

Cerb's process and blog link on making a bass
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=170465&highlight=tutorial

    Hambone's photo tip
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172037&highlight=tutorial

    and Scott French's top carving
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184826&highlight=top+carving

I don't remember others, but if you have suggestions (with links), I'd be happy to include them. Thanks again guys!

Are you looking for internal TB only?

Nope. I'll sort through and list them in divided categories, or just sort them based on subject matter and note which are external links. Thanks for getting me to clarify that!

Man, this is going to be a great help. I'm taking baby steps right now with defretting my old bass, and doing up the electronics. Eventually this will be a source for me to build my first bass. I'm so excited! Thanks for doing this, and thanks to everyone on here for making these threads.

    Thank you Phil!

Hey folks, if you have your own pages (hopefully with pics) of your building processes, or anything like that you think would help, post 'em: I'd be happy to add them!

Hi, I'm new here and to bass building, but I'd like to start soon. This is looking really nice, and a link that may help that I have found - http://www.stewmac.com/FretCalculator

    Calculates fret placements.
