    Hi all!

I´m thinking about dropping bartolinis in my Fender American Jazz Bass V in order to get a beefier sound.

So far I´ve heard good things about Bartolinis.

My question is, can anyone tell me the difference in sound between those two here:

59CBJS pair - Jazz Bass shape neck (short) pickup and bridge (long) pickup are low noise single coils.
    List Price $ 146

59CBJD pair - Jazz Bass shape neck (short) and bridge (long) pickups have dual in-line hum cancelling coils.
    List Price $ 164

    Much appreciated!

Don't know about the sound of the Bartolinis,
    but you should consider this:

Standard 5 string Jazz pups will not fit the American STD Jazz V! The pups on this bass is wider than standard 5 string jazz basses.

However Bartolini has introduced a direct replacement for the Fender american std V:

    Here's the Jazz pups:

    5 string basses:
    59J1 J set: $137.29
    59J1 J bridge only: $68.69
    57J1 J set: $137.29 (American Standard J replacement)
    57J1 J bridge only: $68.69 (American Standard J replacement)

I have a American std Jazz V myself, and I am also considering the Barts.
    I recently installed a J-retro preamp, and it's just great!!!!!:D

Any Bartolini 57J1 5-string Jazz pickup review?

As far as I know, the windings / voicings are exactly the same as the 59J's - the 7 vs 9 is to distinguish between Fender and other sizings.

Sorry Ivar, I can't help with your question.

I stumbled upon this looking for differences between the 57j1 and the 59j1.
    Super Resurrection!
