Okay all you who have played both of these... which one sounds more over-the-top? I'm looking for almost a wah-pedal-without-the-pedal type sound... make sense? I've got a Q now, and it almost gets there, but not quite. I have the opportunity to trade stright up for a HAZ Mu-tron III+, but if it's not going to be any different, it may not be a good trade. Looking for advice.

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
I had the Mini Q-Tron and I liked it enough. My main beef with it was the drastic increase in volume whenever I engaged it.

I sold it and bought an EBS Bass IQ, which I highly recommend. No spike in volume and the tone is, well, what you are describing.

Pigtronix EP-1 is all I have to say. I own one and it is funky like a ufo (as opposed to unfunky)
