    Any experienced QSC users or Bob out there have a recommendation for the filter settings - 30 or 50 when driving a Epifani 4-10 cab with a 40hz rating. I was going to set it at 30.

    I could be wrong on this, but I'd set it at 30, especially if you're playing a 5-string. All I ask is that you guys just don't hurt me if I'm wrong.

    It's all good!!! Try all three settings and listen to what sounds best.

    If you can't hear the differene between 30 and 50Hz when the band is playing, leave it at 50 Hz. Your amp should run cooler since it will be dumping less unneeded power to the cabinet and it should make life easier on your speakers too.

    At home, I'd leave it off to enjoy the bounty of tone that could be yours...

    I run my PLX1602 filterless.

    I play a BEADG 5 string through a Dem 201S -> PLX -> Berg HT322.

    I like!

    I run mine with the 30hz filter, 5-string basses through 10" speakers, high volume rock. Works for me . . .
  7. 30hz all the time. Clip limiters too.

    I paid for all my gear myself. Well, me and MasterCard.
    I play 5- and 6-string basses through a pair of Acme Low B-2s and an RMX 1850HD or PLX 2402. Both amps have the 30 Hz filters and clip limiters engaged.
