I'm thinking of running an A/B box between my amp and the 2 guitars I use on stage. That would be both guitars into the A/B box -- one cord to the amp. Can somebody recommend a good one that doesn't do anything funky to the signal and that will last me and is well made? Tell me where to get such and item too if you know.

uh, i'm hoping you mean basses... ;)

but lehle A/B boxes have been the standard for quite some years. if you want something fancier, James at www.loooper.com can make all sorts of crazy frankenstein creations.

I built my own based on a Craig Anderton design. It's an easy project and I believe it is in his book on making stuff - I forget the book's name ATM, but he has designs for a lot of stuff that you can build. One of the easiest is the A-B box (mine is an A-B-C-D box). BTW, this includes a mute switch as well as LEDs indicating which input (or reversed, which output) is in use.
  5. I use a Rapco A/B 100.
    No color.

Cool -- all good suggestions I'll look into them.

Joker: Basses are guitars too. :)
