Sleek double-cutaway design
It is no secret that the Precision Bass' comfortability makes it the go to instrument for many bassists. This is down to the contoured double-cutaway body shape that allows each fret to be reached with minimum effort. The gently bevelled edges allow the bass to rest snugly against you during performances for an immediately familiar feel. The body is crafted using alder, a lightweight and tonally balanced tonewood that is a joy to wield. The body has been finished using gloss polyurethane, giving the paintwork protection against premature wear.

Maple neck with "1963 C" profile
Joined to the body is a solid and durable maple neck, which has received a satin urethane finish to encourage a smooth fret-hand feel. The 34-inch scale length is paired with a classic "1963 C" profile that enhances playing comfort. The '63 P Bass neck profile is widely regarded as one of the most accommodating of neck profiles, whilst a satin finish along the back of the neck creates a smooth fret-hand feel. Posiflex graphite rods run along the entire length of the neck to improve stability and resistance to warping.

Married to the neck is a divine maple fingerboard, which is home to 20 narrow-tall frets with dot position inlays to guide your way in style. The narrow-tall frets are designed to make them more effecting when executing string bends and playing chord further along the neck with exceptional intonation.

V-Mod Precision Bass pickups
The 2017 American Pro P Bass is equipped with the newly designed V-Mod pickups, which were built by legendary bass pickup master Michael Bump. Taking cues from classic split single-coil pickups, the V-Mod produces lush, high-output tones with smooth Fender warmth and crisp articulation across every note. Control comes in the form of knurled flat-top knobs, which allow you to attenuate Master Volume and Master Tone controls.

Gig-ready hardware
The headstock is home to redesigned tuning machines in the form of Fender lightweight vintage-style keys with tapered shafts, which work dutifully to preserve tuning integrity and increase sustain. The strings continue their journey towards the body via the bone nut, meeting the 4-saddle HiMass vintage bridge to create a seamless connection with the body. The bridge offers a vintage aesthetic whilst ensuring considerable stability.

I have a very nice Fender Musicmaster Bass that was made in China. Not the greatest instrument in the world but not too bad either. I doubt you would get that quality for $99 that is if they even sent out an instrument.
