If you click on this link http://www.lowtones.com/Joe's/Music.html there will be a song on the page named Alone. I used a Quarter Pound 'P' pickup in my bass.

Best 'P' pickups I ever heard.

I've done you a quick 40 second noodle (not intended to be consumed as music :) ) on my 1988 MIJ Fender P-Bass, which has a Quarter Pound P-Bass pickup in it

the noodle is played with a pick, and i've played up and down in different positions so you can hear how the tone changes

the strings are stainless steel and a bit old... the pickup is a bit brighter with new strings... and the recording is direct & dry into the PC with no effects or anything
  4. the start of 'online songs' by blink 182 a pretty good example
  5. if you dont mind band recordings check out some new Blink-182... "Online songs" is a classic quarter pounder P sound...
