hey guys, if anyone has a jazz or precision style bass with seymour duncan quarter pounders, I'd love to hear it! Any recordings, post in here!
If you click on this link http://www.lowtones.com/Joe's/Music.html there will be a song on the page named Alone. I used a Quarter Pound 'P' pickup in my bass. Best 'P' pickups I ever heard. Joe.
I've done you a quick 40 second noodle (not intended to be consumed as music ) on my 1988 MIJ Fender P-Bass, which has a Quarter Pound P-Bass pickup in it http://www.kidults.co.uk/Quarter_Pound_P-Bass_cowsgomoo.mp3 the noodle is played with a pick, and i've played up and down in different positions so you can hear how the tone changes the strings are stainless steel and a bit old... the pickup is a bit brighter with new strings... and the recording is direct & dry into the PC with no effects or anything
Here are two I did very recently. MIM-P, QuarterPounders, old Rotosound rounds 500k MP3, Bouree lick 5mb MP3, Fly Me To The Moon
if you dont mind band recordings check out some new Blink-182... "Online songs" is a classic quarter pounder P sound...
