I have a set of QPs in a Zolla bass. According to my understanding, Zolla is a San Diego Luthier, don't know much beyond that. I played it at a guitar show and liked it and the price was right. But the QPs sound really good. It's a passive bass, but with a lot of output from the big poles and overwinding. Big fat tone.

I'm actually thinking of putting in a set of Nordstrands though... Not really because I'm unhappy with the QPs but because I really like the NJ4s I have in another bass and want to try out more from the Nordstrand line. But then again I'm not unhappy with it as it sits. I'm an endless tinkerer I suppose......
