Question about adding cab to SWR WM15 combo

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by DraVenSF, Sep 19, 2004.

  1. I have a SWR workingman's 15 combo and I want to add a cab to it, in particular an Ampeg BSE-115 or a Ampeg SVT-210HE

I was wondering, does it really matter if you get another kind of cab, does it affect sound if I don't get an SWR cab to go with their combo? It sounds very stupid but I was just curious.

If you can mix brands in your set up, can someone help me choose a good cab to go with my SWR wm15? I got good choices?

Yeah, 200 watts isn't really loud but right now I'm only using it to practice at home, not looking for a huge stack right now.

    thanks in advance

any 8 ohm cabinet should be fine
i think you'll notice an appreciable (if not earth shaking) difference in apparent volume
