I have a Bass Pandora and am wondering: when I use it with my Hartke 3500 head, which has a passive and an active input, which should I use?

    Thanks in advance

Normally those multieffect units (which the pandora is) make the signal louder, so I should use the active one (which is made for 'hotter' signals)

    But don't kill me if I'm wrong.:D

That is what I thought- thanks for the reply!

YOu can use the passive as long as it doesn't makes your preamp clip too early.
ie, if you can't go past 12 o'clock on the gain knob because your preamp clips after that, use the active input.
Otherwise, passive input will be fine.
