Are these basically the same pedals? I noticed on the CE-5 the filter control has a stacked hi n low knob, on the CEB-3 it's just a single filter knob for lows. Or are the electronics/circuitry voiced differently on the CEB-3 just for bass?

I have a CE-5 and i think the hi/low cut is awesome. Very versatile pedal.

I have the CE-5 and the CEB-3 and while the CE-5 is ok for bass I personally like the CEB-3 better. I find it to be voiced a bit better to my ears.

I own the CEB-3 and had a CE-5 at home the other day to compare (I was looking for a chorus pedal for guitar). The CEB seems a little more intense...perhaps it's bass voicing, etc.

The CE-5 is really lush (for guitar, didn't plug the bass into it).

The knobs are in a different order...

I returned the CE-5 to Sam Ash and decided that the CEB got close enough to what I wanted (and I already owned it).
