Anyone know what these switches do exactly?

To my ears, at a guess it sounds like a coil-tap, but that doesn't really make sense when you think about it.

    Thanks in advance :)

  2. My recollection is that they were EQ switches. Boost or cut for T/M/B? I don't remember how many positions they had.

There were two switches on each pickup (PJ configuration) each with three positions each.

  4. That makes more sense. I'd have to guess that one switch is bass and one treble, with the three positions being boost-flat-cut, or something along those lines.

I thought they had little bitty letters on them indicating which switch was which, but it's been a long time since I've seen any of those things.
