Question about fender del.jbass

i havent posted on here in awhile.
i own a warwick rockbass streamer 5string. i love it and all, but now im getting really deep into playing jazz and alot of marcus miller. so im wondering if the fender deluxe active jazz bass would work out for me. i want a marcus miller-esk tone but i dont have the money for his bass and i dont want a signature bass.
