Awesome! Exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks!
what is a bit dated?
Mim classic p or roadworn p is closest spec as original split coil pbass. Reverse tuning peg, vintage thin fret, 7.25 radius fretboard, bassball like neck profile, vintage threatsaddle bridge, .1uf cap, neck trussrod adjustment....... except the stock pickup is not wind as vintage spec even she is Alnico V pup.
Back to mim std, lot thing is not close to vintage p. Same tuner as Squier VM bass, which I rate it lower than china CV series tuning mechine. Medium jumbo fret. Headstock trussrod adjustment, modern neck profile, awful stock pup, cheap bend bridge (this stuff is totally different quality compare to vintage threatsaddle bridge)......
If you are seriuos pbass lover, you should go with mim classic or RW.
If you feel uncomfortable with the neck profile, the Squier CV 70p will meet your need.
Got this one new from Willcutt Guitars. Excellent P bass, no upgrades needed.
Where did you find one with the 70's style logo on it?
Fender Introduces Factory Special Run Antigua Jazz and Precision Basses
Aw they've been discontinued for a while. Cheapest one I found is going for over $2,000. No thanks lol.
Theres one for $750 on my local CL right now...Fender Antigua Precision Bass
That's lucky! Too bad I don't have $750 to spare. I doubt the seller would ship to New Mexico.
