question about manuf. date of rickenbacker bass..

i never knew what year ric bass i had and recently tried to see with the serial number lookup feature on their website. i have a model 4003 and it says it was manufactured in november of 1967. does this sound correct... where they making this model back then.

no, the 4003 didn't start until the early 80's, iirc.
