Hello, I have a line6 studio 110 (75W) and I want to take it camping, but power it from a 12V car battery. Is it possible to hack the amp to take DC power directly? thanks, Paul
Not easily. You would need to find out what DC voltages are used in the amp and then use DC to DC converters as required.
This answer seems to have some agreement. I believe you guys Would a 300 watts inverter be enough? Thanks, Paul
You could do as I did and get one of these. Runs on batteries so you don't need to be near your car. I run the bass through it as well as my youngest kids Mini-Maton (which doesn't have a big acoustic sound) and we can get a good mix with the eldest daughter's full size acoustic. The inverter would be cheaper but It could kill your car battery stranding you at the camp ground.
You will probably want to use a pure sinewave inverter, less noise and less chance of damage overall.
