i bought a used G&L L-2000 about 6 months or so ago, and i was never really sure what kind of body wood it is made out of. It's got a premier finish on it (transparent blonde)...but I seem to remember the guy telling me that it was alder... It looks a lot like swamp ash, in that it has long very visible grain lines on it. It also is very heavy (a characteristic of swamp ash). I'll post a pic of the bass soon...but for now, what kind of wood does it sound like?
