Question about my knob

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by subsonic, Dec 2, 2005.

  1. Will Sadowsky knobs fit the pot shafts of a Skyline 55-01 with the stock preamp, ie: NOT the NTMB?

    Thanks

May I ask where you aquired sadowsky knobs, or similar?

  3. Haven't yet, I don't want to hunt a set down unless I'm sure they'll fit.

Could you let me know how the search goes, I love the look of those sadowsky knobs both on roger's basses and nino valenti's.

I have looked all over for those same knobs. It's not like they are fancy or anything. Where the hell can you get them?

  6. I assume you could order a set from Roger Sadowsky, he's great as far as customer service etc. I think Aguilar uses the same knobs (or very similar), so you could probably order a few from them, too. Aside, Edwcdc, Christopher Walken is indeed the man...

Talk Bass is pretty sweet, but how 'bout "Talk Walken"?
You like that?... I like that! :p

You can call Sadowsky and order the knobs. They are pricey, but very nice. They have two set screw per knob to keep them straight when mounting to smaller shafts.

    :D

I'm sure there is probably some kind of Walken forum out there somewhere.

Not sure if this is on-topic but some of the guitar parts places like guitarpartsresource sell little sleeve adapters that let you put solid-shaft knobs onto split shaft pots without wrecking the split shaft. I rarely use them but I keep some in the parts box and they have come in handy a few times.

I think it's better to play it straight while talking about trying to find knobs. :D

Sadowsky sells them. I think Nino said something like $7.50 apiece.
