Question about selling a jazz bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by brian v2.0, Feb 26, 2004.

  1. I have an american made fender jazz bass deluxe fretless that i dont play very ofter. I need money and am considering selling some things. Whether or not i sell it depends largly on what the going price for the bass is.

it's in immaculate condition, with a hardshell case. strings through the body, bookmatched two piece alder (i think) body with sunburst finish. Active electronics with sweepable mids on a stack knob. Fretless (lined) rosewood board in near excellent condition (only used ghs brite flad ground wound strings). Let me know if you have any idea what it's worth. thanks.

btw - feel free to move this if i posted it in the wrong section

The going price depends on 2 things:
What you're willing to sell it for...
What a buyer is willing to gove you for it...

If you bought the bass new, you're going to take a loss regardless. I took a quick look on ebay & I saw one similar to yours that just sold for $800.00.

You should also take a look on Harmony Central & see if anyone is selling a bass similar to yours & see what they are asking for it.
  3. i believe that is exactly like mine, good to know it is still worth something substantial.
