I`m trying to buy some clothes online from Ebay, mainly shirts. In my region (South America) my Neck Size is 41/42. I`ve recently bought a couple of shirts in NYC and they are 16.5 36/37 and it`s a bit large.

I`ve been watching one but says Neck Size 16.5 32/33 and just wanted to know the difference.

Maybe a dumb question but I`ve no idea and wanna double check first before buying.

    Thanks.

The 16.5 is the neck size (in inches) and the 32/33 is the sleeve length in inches. If your neck size is 41 inches, a 16.5 or a 16 will be right, but a 36/37 inch sleeve is huge - I wear a 16 or a 16.5 with a 34" sleeve. That's the most common size.

    Thanks Mark.
    So, since I`m 175 cm tall (that`s about 5' 9") and have an "average" weight (80 kg / 177 pounds) a 34" should be OK ?

Well it really depends on your arm length. But give you are roughly the same build as me (okay, I am a bit fatter), I would imagine you would probably have a sleeve length that is about the same. 34" is pretty normal, if you use double (ie Fernch) cuffs, you can live with a bit longer, but if you are using button cuffs I think i'd stick with 34". Anything bigger and the shirt will fit poorly at your shoulders (there will be a big bagg bit of material there).

Yeah, Mark is right. I'm 6'1", and wear a 34/35 sleeve. 36/37 is huge.

I'm 5' 8" and wear a 16.5 neck and 34" sleeve. It's not hard to measure if you have a tape measure....just check online for how to take the measurements. Then convert CM to inches.
