question about stereo effects

I've got two pedals that have stereo outs and mono ins. If I plugged a splitter cable into each stereo output jack, could I run that into a 2nd amp, or would I have to install a new input jack into one of the pedals? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I did a search and came up with nothing.

Why would you put a splitter into each stereo output jack? In terms of using a second amp, how would it be different from putting a splitter into a mono output jack?

IOW if you have stereo outputs, send one to the first amp and the other to the second amp, that's what they're for. ;)

What are the 2 pedals? There's no way to link them both up in series in full stereo, but you could do it in paralell. If you don't want them running into each other you could use some sort of stereo A/B switch to select either of the pedals or you could use a stereo blender to have a bit of both at once. I've never seen stereo A/Bs or blenders so you might have to get a custom one made up!

Apparently, I wasn't too clear about what I was asking. what I meant was could I run a cable from the 2nd output from 2 different pedals into the same amp's input. For example:

pedal chain----------------------1st Amp

chorus stereo out---\
---------------------\
---------------------------------2nd Amp
---------------------/
delay stereo out____/

using something like this

Thanks. $40 is right about in my current price range, and that one's just small enough that I think I've got a space for it on my board.

You SHOULD have space for this, no?

That's not exactly the one I was looking at, but yeah, that one will fit with no problem. If it wouldn't, I would be redesigning the board I'm currently building. Right now it's going to be 3 tiered, 38" X 18" and will hold 24 pedals, but I've got an open spot of about 4"X4" that I was kinda looking to fill, so yeah, I'll go with that.

Any work-in-progress pics? I had to scale mine back to 32" in width (20" deep and four tiers) so I could sweep the board easily while standing on one foot.

I would love to say that I have some work in progress pics, but I'm building it out of plywood, and my brother broke my circular saw, so until I can get together with my friend(hopefully tomorrow), all it is is a graph paper drawing right now. Over the past 2 weeks, it's gone from being one single 36" X 18" board to it's current conception as 2 19" X 18" boards that will join together in the middle(easier to transport), and a 12" X 18" smaller board that will sub out for the right hand side for shows that I don't need the full board for.

Signal path right now is: Bass->Pedal Tuner->Compressor->EQ->Spinning Speaker Simulator->Overdrive(1)->Overdrive(2)->Distortion(1)->Distortion(2)->Distortion(3)->Octave Down Distortion->Fuzz->Flanger->Phaser->Chorus(1)->Chorus(2)->Tape Style Delay->Echo Delay->Amp

When it's all done, It's going to have a 4th & 5th Distortion, an Octave Up/Fuzz, a 3rd Chorus(or possibly switch the Chorus(2) out), a Tremolo, a Vibrato, An Autowah, and a Reverse Delay added to what I already own.

and, as if my sig didn't give it away, all of them are Danelectro pedals...OCD is very weird for me.

Edit: It just occurred to me that I'm pretty much hijacking my own thread :D
