question about wireless frequencies

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by JimiLL, Apr 13, 2009.

  1. Im lookin at buying a wireless system that operates from 169-216 mhz.
how "open" are these frequencies? trying not to get any radio wave interference
  2. Here is the FCC's frequency allocation chart.

Looks like that is the range used for over-the-air TV broadcasts
  3. Thanks Man. Not that TV has gone all digital, I should be in the clear, right??
  4. Not if they're still broadcasting locally in the same band. Digital or analogue, it's still likely to interfere.

Don't know about over in the US, but here in Aus all VHF band wireless systems basically became unusable several years ago - especially in cities where the band is crowded.
