Question for Ashdown MAG300H owners?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Rockit, Mar 11, 2006.

  1. I just recently came into possesion of a MAG300H and it's a pretty good amp for practice and as a back up. I like the sound and the weight (compared to my 85 lb SVT-CL) but I'm finding the cooling fan never comes on even after a few hours. I've emailed Ashdown over a week ago and have gotten no response. I swapped out the fan and the same thing. Anyone else run into this problem??

I have the combo version (MAG300 C-115) and the fan is on all the time as far as i can tell. it comes on when i switch the amp on and i can hear it starting up but i dont keep a check on it. My ABM fan stays on all the time.
  3. My fan stays on all the time on my Mag300 head, and my EB12-180 combo.

The Mag300 fan is a permanent fan, and not thermally controlled (unless thay've changed it's specifications recently, and you have a new one).

Of course, the most authoritative response will come directly from Ashdown.
