Question for cab wiring experts.

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by 68Goldfish, Apr 3, 2014.

  1. Hey guys, I'm looking for some confirmation on my thought process on how to wire two cabs in series.
Some background.....I recently purchased a second peavey 2x15bw cab to mach one that I already have. The previous owner had done some rewiring to it whereby each 8 ohm speaker is wired to separate jacks on the back of the cab. What I want to do is rewire the cab to have both speakers in parallel to make a 4 ohm load (stock configuration) and use the extra jack for hooking up my other 4 ohm cab. in series to end up with a 8 ohm load. That way I can use both with my gk 700rb.
Here's a diagram that I made that I think is the way to do it.
I think it's a simple deal but I just wanted to pass it by the experts to make sure I'm not missing something.
