Question for Michael and his windham hill recordings with michael hedges

Discussion in 'Ask Steve Lawson & Michael Manring' started by superbassman2000, Apr 29, 2006.

  1. Hi Michael!

I just got done reading your interview at fretlessbass.com about your recordings with michael hedges...anyways, i am fairly new to your hedges collaboration, I have breakfast in the field, and that was because i was a fan of hedges, and i got that cd for a good price, seeing your name on it really excited me, and i really liked the funky avacado :)

anyways, i was just wondering, what bass were you using at that point...as a 19-20 year old you didn't have a zon did you? i was reading about your playing on the funky avacado a guy said that you had a 5 string...is this true?

Plus, you probably get asked this all the time, but what was it like recording with hedges? I think that he is such an amazing an unique guitar player, was it different than the other hundred of people you've recorded with?

and what about your playing with justin king? did that ever work out?
