Question for other Lakland Skyline owners.

    Has anyone found it necessary to re-shield the control cavity of your bass? The control cavity on mine is not done w/ copper sheilding tape, rather its done w/ shielding paint.

    No, I have not found it necessary to re-shield the cavity.

    I've had two Lakland Skylines 55-01 and Joe Osborn. Amazingly enough, neither bass required shielding.

    I haven't even found a need to change the strings on my 55-02d.

    Mine did have some wiring problems, but I think it was a bad solder job. Whatever, I shipped it to Lakland, and they shipped it back in less than a week with all chargers on them.

    PS: I have a 44-02.
