I recently bought a OC-07. Super beat-up, but great sounding effect! Unfortunately the bypass is pretty bad. Definitely a tone-sucker, or a "tone-changer".

My question is, is this normal? Have other OC-07 owners experienced this?

Supposedly all Pearl effects have "bad" bypass. I don't have an OC-07, but I own the PH-44 Phaser (LOOOVE it), the CH-02 Chorus (mostly used for vibrato) and the FG-01 Flanger (noisy but amazing self-oscillation capabilities). I haven't noticed much coloration yet, but I haven't done a close examination with A/B switch/loop setup. When in doubt, use a looper/switcher.
