Have Fatbeams on my bass right now and I really like the low end and mid range of the tone, but the high end is still a little more than I want. Now, any nickel plated steels I've tried usually have more mids in them, so my question is are there any nickel strings that still have a bit of a subdued bid range? I wouldn't mind hex core as I could actually use a little more tension.

    Thanks!

Hmmm, I love the Fat Beams! But, I would try nickel Lo-Riders: hex core, higher tension and not as much zing.

You might like the Fodera's. I like their nickels. Their stainless steels were a lot like Fat Beams too.
