question for Steve! any old recordings of yourself?

    Hi there!

    I notice on your website that your setup for a while was an ART nightbass with a lexicon jamman...that is my setup right now! huzzah!
    anyhow, i was just wondering if you had any recordings from the old days of your nightbass/jamman times, just to hear what you could do with it...granted that the nightbass is a pretty awesome machine, i bet you could make some awesome sounds with it!

    Hi Charlie,

    I did a record with a guy called Jason Carter back in the late 90s, which was listed as 'Jason Carter with Ragatal' and was called 'Fragments Of Grace' - all the bass stuff on there was through the Nightbass, but there's no looping on it. There one tune with an intro where I'm using a delay and a sort of gated fade-in effect to get a synth-ish swell, but most of my Nightbass experiments are on cassettes in the bottom of boxes somewhere.

    You never know, one day if it gets to the point where there's a critical mass of people interested in me dredging through my musical rubbish bin to find old nonsense, I'll dig them out and put them up as MP3s. ;)

    i checked it out here, and for $3.90, its not a bad deal! :D
    for anyone interested...
    and as for people interested, i'd like to see what you can do on a nightbass, only if its not too much trouble!
