question involving u retro deluxe and a musicman pickup

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by ballison, Apr 21, 2006.

  1. ok so Im going with warmoth for my next bass and I've decided on a musicman/jazz pickup config. I want an onboard preamp and the u retro deluxe or 5 knob has caught my eye/ear. is it still possible to have control of series/parralel/SC of the music man with the preamp? also could there be a way that I could have the retro, and be able to bypass that and use the stringray preamp? Im just seeing if its possible...thanks!

No problem to have 'series/parralel/SC'. That just affects the output of the pickup and gets fed into the preamp.

To bypass the Retro to a MM pre is possible but not with a standard Retro. It would need to be wired specifically, but not a major change. PM me and we could nail what you're looking for, exactly.
