    I am building a 2x8 cab with Eminence Alpha 8 spekers. The specs for the vented speaker explain shape and size of the vent but all data is based on a single speaker. When using 2 speakers, does that affect the size and number of vents?

  2. Cab size doubles.
    Vent count doubles.
    Vent size remains identical.

    Thanks, good to know!

    In the specs about the cabinet it states:
    Vent ends = one flush
    Dv = 3 in
    Lv = 3.475 in

    Assuming Dv and Lv are diameter and length of the vent, what does the one flush mean?

    mount the front edge of port tube flush to the front of baffle = the back end hangs in the air volume inside the cab

    Thanks. Is the location of the vent important, like in the bottom center or coner of the baffle? Or wherever?

  6. Traditional to make it pretty ie symmetrical in some fashion

    or follow ''golden ratio'' ie design by eye so it looks pretty. Usually extra elements appear on the 1/3 and 2/3 points across the largest part.

    or whenever it fits, not too close to the edge, because that's the only space left for it.
