Question on Homemade Piezo Pickups?

I was reading and I found several things on the internet about building your own piezo pickup out of a piezo element from radio shack. (http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/piezo-pickups.txt)
I have questions.
1) I know they make piezo bridges but has anyone done this on talkbass.com, Y"know make ur own?
2) Would it work on a Pbass how would you mount it?
3) I wonder if it could be wired up like a two pickup bass in passive mode.
