Question on piezos

    i got a question on piezo pickups. are the pickups mounted in the individual saddles? and if so how isolated are they? if one was to wire each saddle into its on circuit would you be able to send each string into its own separate channel without too much bleed through from the other strings?

    yes they are isolated, and yes you would be able to do that.. listen to a show of hands ,by Vic Wooten, and you'll see just how it can be done... he split his bass so 2 strings are on the right channel and 2 are on the left.. it sounds amazing

    thats cool. i'm doing some bartop engineering on my next bass and needed to know that.

    now i just need to find some really small guitar piezo saddles that haven't been grooved yet....
