I'm thinking of doing this to one of my Jazz bass guitars, had a question on the connections as shown with the red arrows, specifically, it appears there is a thin line going between the middle lugs, is that a connection with wire/solder or is it an error? Also, the connection on the side near the top arrow, is that a connection to the side of the pot itself? Thanks!

Edit: It almost looks like the wire goes thru both lugs then goes over to the other, maybe I'm looking too much into it?

  2. You are correct. That's a wire that connects from the middle terminal on the top pot to the middle terminal on the bottom pot, and also to the other terminal on the bottom pot. The jumpering across the two terminals of the tone pot is occasionally done to prevent noise.

The connection on the side of the pot is indeed a ground to the pot's chassis.
