Hi Guys, I have searched and cant find answer anywhere so here goes...
I just bought a used stingray from eBay and want to double check its a genuine EB. The serial number is Dxxxxxx and is on the bridge which I think dates it to 1997/98. The neck is definately EB as far as I can tell but my one query is with the 2 band eq and volume pots. On all the stingrays I have seen the pots have a central position where the pots 'stick' for midway - this bass doesnt have that?? Was that usual for late 90's EBs? maybe my bass has been modded?
Anything else to check on the body to check its genuine - the neck plate looks correct.

  2. Go to the "Horse's mouth," as the expression goes: The Ernie Ball site. www.ernieball.com

    Go to forums.

I just might see you there.

Congrats on buying a 'Ray. ;)
