Questions about Tab Notation

Discussion in 'Tablature and Notation [BG]' started by r6mile, Apr 6, 2006.

  1. I don't really understand some things about Tab Notation. What does it mean when there's an "X" on a line? When's there an "S" or a "P" under the tab that means "Slap" and "Pop" right? But what about when there's a "T" under the tab? And if there's a "B" over the tab?

    X - mute
    S - Slap
    P - Pop
    T - Tap

I dont think I've ever seen a B, A differnet way to show a bend maybe?
    Have you got an example?

In that tab, B would be bend. In the bass solo where it notates "B(1/2)" that just means bend the note a Half-Step.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah like the poster above said, It means bend in this instance.

Strange why to show a bend though...
