Mint Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass. Nothing wrong with it. Previous owner threw a Fender waterslide decal on top, too (not that I care about that... a good instrument is a good instrument).

Anyways, I can get this for $200. Unfortunately, if I go with this deal, I have to let him know within a few hours. I wouldn't get to play it beforehand, either. No, it's not a scam. A friend is in the midst of a sideways Craigslist trade deal, but he has no desire for a bass, so that's where I come in!

Yay or nay? I trust you guys.

Do you need a bass? It's not a good deal if you don't need it.

Has your friend seen it? Do you have pics?

I have more basses than I need, but it'd be nice to take this out and leave Geddy at home during bar sets.
I've seen one pic, and it looks stunning.

If you're helping out a buddy, maybe he can kick in some cash towards the bass?

If you don't NEED the 200 right now, go for it.
I'm pretty sure you can sell it on for at least that if needed later.

Remember the TB credo: You only regret the basses you don't buy!

  15. I bought my VM Jazz Fretless for $250 new, so I think it's an ok (not amazing) deal. So if you want it and can spare the cash, go for it.

I also have a PJ Mustang and can't decide which one I like better. Different beasts, I think.

You can use it as a sub for your Geddy even though you don’t technically need it?

    Yeah…for $200?

    Buy.
