The 3 way pickup selector doesn't do anything. It is a single pickup MM stingray so I don't see the purpose of it being there. can someone please tell whats wrong if there is a problem

Does your Stingray have a Piezo system in it?

Is it a Stingray 5? The Stingray 4 doesn't have a selector switch.

  4. It's a series/single coil/parallel switch. I don't remember which position is what. The change in the sound is subtle but there is some change.

It's supposed to be that way. It's just a switch for different wiring combinations.

The HH has a 5-way, but I doubt that's what your talking about.
