Quick question... Can I damage my amp by using it as a general speaker?

Basically.. by computer speakers are rubbish.. so much so that I can't actually hear a film I'm watching over the noise of the CPU fan.

Anyways... I thought I'd start just plugging my pc sound output into my 20 watt stagg amp input. It works really well. It plays music really well too (needless to say, the bass boost it gives to songs is amazing).

I was just wondering if I could damage my amp like this?

Haha... yes I do! xD I'm using both my rubbish speakers and my amp though. So I do hear the stereo bits from my computer speakers. I quite like it actually, because I have my amp behind me.

I should really invest in some decent speakers... but I think I'd rather save up for a new bass :p after all, which is more important? :p

    Cheers
