Quick 'Ray question

    What kind of body woods did they use in the Stingray? I'm assuming they used different ones at different times, but which ones and when?

    They either use ash or alder. It seems, although I may be wrong, that the transparent finishes always use ash, and the solid ones often use alder, but not necessarily.

    99 percent or better of modern Stingrays are ash.

    Jack...Just curious...Since 99% are ash, why do they EVER use alder at all?
