Hey Guys, it is very weird to me that I'm just now bringing this up, but here goes. Basically, I've noticed that my MIM Jazz is very quiet compared to P-Basses. I tried out three P-Basses, a Rogue, a Fender Light, and an SX (all friends). They were all very much louder, so I was wondering if there is anything I can do to boost my signal from my Jazz so that I don't have to crank my amp? Also, I have replaced the pickups and rewired it with no change to the volume that I could notice. Thanks!

IME jazz pups are not as loud as precision pups.

So what if they're not as hot? Just turn up the volume...and well, single coils in parallel tend not to be as hot as ones in series I think...
  4. perhaps the pickups are to low, or too far from the strings?
