I have a Behringer BX1200 and it has two inputs to connect a guitar. Active and Passive. Which is better........I have a Ibanez GSR200....When I Plug it into the Passive it sounds more punchy (noticeable Pick up in volume) but it still sounds cool in the Active input.....I say im suppose to plug it in to the Active.....What do you guys think?:bassist: :D

Also what is the best Configuration that you guys use?

I difference between the two inputs is that the active input is attunated by -15 db. So, it's there so if you have active electronics, you won't be able to clip the input as easily. Thus, your bass will be quieter in the active input.

So, if you can put your bass in the passive input and you don't have a clipping problem, than by all means, use it.

I don't own a GRS200, but I know from some second hand information that it does use a 9v. I think you have an active 2-band EQ, and passive pickups.
