R.I.P. Robert Zildjian

    Sure, he wasn't a bass player, but he was the founder of Sabian cymbals and all of us have heard those, as well as, Zildjian cymbals.

    Wow! I sure know his name! :eek: He's not under us anymore? :( That's so sad!

    May he rest in peace and that he will not be forgotten!

    Childhood memories of walking past Jack's Drum Shop and being dazzled by all the beautiful cymbals in the window....

    I've met both Robert and Armand Zildjian in the 90's. Robert was a very nice, genuine man. Armand was nice, but arrogant.

    He was 89, but still very much doing stuff for Sabian. Big loss of a great man.
