Rabbath bowings

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [DB]' started by Bruce Jackson, Apr 18, 2010.

  1. In Book 3, what's the difference between bowings 2 - 9, 10 - 17.

He slurs 3, 5, and 7 underneath but then in the next sequence they are all slurred on top in similar groupings. He does this with other rhythmic slurred patterns later on also.
    Any answers on this?

One of the groups means to slur the notes in groups twos, then threes, then fours...and so on. The other group means to slur the first two notes, then 6 separate, slur 3 notes, and five separate, and so on. I don't remember which group is which personally, but it doesn't matter really.

  3. Thank you.
