rack case repair

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by rexspangle, Dec 26, 2001.

  1. hopefully i can explain this ok but here i go:

i purchased a used six space road case not realizing it was missing a few pieces that i do not know how to replace.

from most rackcases i have seen the vertical rail things on the side (that the holes on the rack ears screw into to) are just a "L" shaped piece of metal with holes drilled in it with no threads.

however the case i have is quite different. it has the same "L" shaped bracket on the side. but it has squares cut out of it, and these little snap in pieces with a square nut floating inside it snap into the square hole. my case is missing almost half of these making it impossible to mount anything.

i can purchase the pieces to build new side rails (whatever they are called) but then i get into spacing problems and alot of unnecesary work.

anyone know where i can get these square nuts with the snap in brackets?

or any other way to fix it?

thanx a lot and hopefully i wasn't too confusing.

ps i cannot return it it either.
