I have a quesiton. Will I overheat a tube preamp in a 4u non shockmount case if there is a QSC poweramp under it and a power conditioner right on top of it?

Depends on the preamp. How many tubes, what voltages the tubes are seeing, how it's vented (top/bottom/sides/front/back), etc.

Most "rube" pres just use one 12AX7 at low voltages, so it's not a problem. But if it's running 3-4 tubes at high plate voltages (a real tube pre, to be blunt), then check the manufacturer's recommendations for rack venting.

I mean to type "tube," but I think I'll leave "rube" in place.

The preamp is an Aguilar DB659. SO 2 12AX7 tubes.

Well, I was going to check Aguilar's website for you, but it, along with Google and many other websites, seem to be down right now. Either my ISP's server is having problems or there's a big denial of service attack underway. Fun times.
