ok here is my question. I'm getting a M-2000 on ebay USA. I live in Spain, so i'll need a voltage converter. Is it worth to go to mesa boogie and ask them to change the internal power supply of the head or is it save enough to use a voltage converter? and if so, are there any rack mountable voltage converters?
  2. perhpas you could re-evaluate your decision to buy a US voltage unit. usually voltage supply conversion, even if it is fairly simple, is something that most manufacturers will not even let a tech do for safety reasons.

so you'd buy it and get it shipped to España. then you'd ship it back to the US to get modified, and then have them ship it back to España. it would have to be a very good deal for you to save money on it enough that you wouldn't be better off looking for a domestic unit instead our crazy 120V.

well the mesa distributor is like half an hour away from my place i would ask them to change it.

still a voltage converter unit would ok right?
